We Make Websites Happen ("WMWH", "we", "our", or "us") is a web development service based in Conroe, Texas, serving small businesses in Conroe and the surrounding Montgomery County area — Conroe, Montgomery, Willis, Magnolia, The Woodlands, Spring, and New Caney. We are the web-development sub-brand of We Make It Happen Media (WMIH). Our primary point of contact is khai@wemakeithappenmedia.com.

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect through our website (www.wmwh.wemakeithappenmedia.com and any subdomains), how we use it, and the rights you have regarding that information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

When you contact us via our email CTA or any inquiry form, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address

  • Any message content you submit

We do not operate a user account system. We do not collect payment information directly — any payment processing is handled by third-party providers under their own privacy terms.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, standard web server logs and any analytics tools in use may automatically collect:

  • Your IP address (truncated where supported)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Date and time of visit

This site does not deploy advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioral retargeting scripts. If analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated and a cookie notice displayed.

2.3 Information we do not collect

  • Sensitive personal data (health, financial, biometric)
  • Data from children under 13
  • Credit card or banking details
  • Government identification numbers

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information collected solely for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your inquiry or quote request
  • Scoping and delivering web development services you have engaged us for
  • Sending project updates, invoices, or documents related to active engagements
  • Improving our website's performance and user experience
  • Complying with legal obligations where applicable

We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable under data protection law (including the GDPR for EU/EEA residents), we process personal data on the following bases:

  • Contract: Processing is necessary to fulfil the web development services you have requested.
  • Legitimate interests: Maintaining service quality, website security, and responding to legitimate inquiries.
  • Consent: Where you have explicitly provided information to receive communications.
  • Legal obligation: Where required by applicable law.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share personal data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We may use tools such as Google Workspace (email), Cloudflare (hosting and DNS), or project management platforms to operate our business. These providers process data only on our behalf under their own privacy and data processing agreements.
  • Legal requirement: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected individuals prior to any such transfer.

We do not disclose personal data to advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms for commercial purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Inquiry emails: Retained in our email system for up to 2 years from the date of last contact, unless a project engagement follows.
  • Active client records: Retained for the duration of the engagement plus 3 years for legal and accounting purposes.
  • Server logs: Automatically purged on a rolling 90-day cycle by our hosting provider.

You may request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 8 for your rights.

7. Cookies and Tracking

This website does not currently deploy any first-party or third-party cookies beyond those that are strictly necessary for site operation (e.g., security tokens on any future authenticated areas).

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any behavioral advertising SDK. If analytics tools are added in the future, you will be informed via a cookie banner and given a clear opt-out before any non-essential cookies are set.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data where we have no overriding legal obligation to retain it.
  • Restriction: Ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 10. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Our website is served over HTTPS. Email communications are transmitted through Google Workspace with industry-standard encryption in transit.

No transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

10. Third-Party Links
